Shofar So Great

Shofar So Great has a vision of A-Tone-Meant, the redemptive sounds for peace and unity in Jerusalem to the ends of the earth!

Blessed are the people who know and understand the sounds of the Shofar; they shall walk in G~d’s light.

You revealed yourself to your holy people at Mt. Sinai amid clouds of glory.  Your voice was heard in a mist of purity.  The whole world trembled before You, all creation stood in awe, when you our Sovereign, manifested Your presence to teach Your people Torah and Mitzvot.  Out of flaming fire, amid peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, amid blasts of the Shofar, You enabled them to hear Your divine words.

The Machzor

All inhabitants of the world, all dwellers on earth:  look when the Shofar is sounded, listen. On that day a Great Shofar will be sounded, and the exiles in Assyria and those cast away in the land of Egypt will come to bow down to the L~rd on the L~rd’s holy mountain in Jerusalem.

The L~rd will be revealed to them with a piercing Presence which will flash like lightning. The L~rd G~d will sound the Shofar and march amid the storm winds of the South. The L~rd of Hosts will defend them.

Yemenite Shofar

Shofar So Great provides rams’ horns that produce A-Tone-Meant, a redemptive sound that cuts through the natural into the realm of G~d’s Kingdom on earth. As in biblical history, the blowing of the horn was a purposeful call to attention and assembly.  The L~rd spoke to Moses, saying, “The Shofar shall be blown by Aaron’s sons, the priests; they shall be for you an institution for all time throughout the ages. (Numbers 10:8).  In these times many are gathering to pray, to proclaim, to intercede, to unite, accompanied by this trumpet sound.

Shofar So Great is your source to purchase Shofarot handcrafted by one of Israel’s founding families whose manufacturing tradition dates back generations. Personal attention is given to the selection of each Shofar on your behalf. Traditional premium ram’s horns are tested and guaranteed to produce the required sounds we are commanded to hear on the High Holy Days.  Also, Shofar So Great offers the popular triple-twisted Yemenite Shofarot from the horn of the African antelope, The Greater Kudu, which can replicate at least five notes harmoniously.

The ancient trumpet of biblical days, The Shofar, when sounded intentionally for the purposes of The Most High, is a powerful instrument in the heavenly realm. “Praise the L~rd… praise him with the blasts of the Shofar” (Psalms 150:1-3).  It is a wake-up call to the nations. “When you are at war in your land against an aggressor who attacks you, you shall sound short blasts on the Shofarot, that you may be remembered before the L~rd your G~d and be delivered from your enemies.  On the festivals and new moon you shall sound the Shofarot over your sacrifices; they shall be a reminder:  I, the L~rd, am your G~d.”  (Numbers 10:9-10).  This prophetic sound represents G~d’s voice in the land and strikes the fear of the L~rd in evildoers. Traditionally, the Shofar is used to sound a symbolic cry during Rosh Hashanah, The Feast of Trumpets. “In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe complete rest, a sacred occasion commemorated with loud Shofar blasts.” (Leviticus 23:23-24).  In the Jubilee year, Leviticus 25:9 commands us to …” have the Shofar sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the Shofar throughout your land.” That sound represents travail, a wail of repentance to G~d.

The mission of Shofar So Great is to equip all those called to the “army of the L~rd” with the clarion call of the sound of heaven.  Shofar So Great personally sources all Shofarot directly from Israel with Rosh Tekiah, Robert Weinger, testing and certifying each one.

Individual instruction is available to ensure effective production of A-Tone-Meant !
